Answer position is the placement of a source’s contribution within the generated response. Being first, cited inline, or summarized in the main body can matter because users often notice the earliest and clearest sources first in AI answer.

The point is visibility. A source placed near the top or in the core answer tends to get noticed more than one buried at the end.
